The hysterectomy came after being diagnosed with cervical cancer. For 6 months I endured testing, procedures, and stress waiting to find out if I had cancer or not. Then waiting to find out how extensive the cancer was to determine the path of treatment. Fortunately the cancer had not spread and a hysterectomy was the cure. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI painted these rainbow flowers as a source of healing during my recovery. After 6 months of worry these paintings were my release of that stress. They represent strength, healing, and hope for the future.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor orange I chose Flame Azalea. I snapped a picture of this flower when my husband and I visited the Biltmore in Asheville, NC the year previous for our 12 year anniversary.
