It seems fitting for a cowboy! Clive is a coachwhip snake which I always thought was a really cool name for a snake. They fade from deep black at the head to a pale tan color at their tail and are named coachwhip due to their likeness to a coil of braided rope.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI imagine maybe this cowboy is an outlaw escaping to the Guadalupe Mountains in Texas where the rustic landscape is difficult to transverse for those chasing him. Or maybe he really is a cowboy and he's riding his horse that is just out of the frame corralling his cows back home. We'll never truly know, but we can make up all sorts of stories about who Clive really is and I think that's the fun about this painting!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eTasting the Air Cowboy\u003c\/em\u003e prints are only available as 5x7 prints matted due to the unique size of the original painting.
