Watercolor Botanical Print | Jack-in-the-Pulpit

This Jack-in-the-Pulpit was painted after spotting the bloom on the Art Loeb Trail in late April 2026.

These wildflowers are a hidden treasure among the forest floor and takes a keen eye to spot them. When in bloom they are often the color of green and brown leaf litter found on the forest floor. Later in the bloom cycle they produce bright berries. They earned the name of Jack/Jill-in-the-Pulpit due to the hidden spadix in the center of the flower that gives the aura of a hidden figure under a hood. This little painting is a perfect capture of this beautifully mysterious plant.

Prints are printed on Red River Aurora Art Natural 300 paper in 3.5x5 size and are personally printed and signed by me at Walking Iris Studio. Prints come unmatted.
